QUICKDUEL™
Privacy Policy
QuickDuel™ ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Hollywood Hills PM LLC, a California limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the QuickDuel mobile application, how we use it, and what choices you have. By using QuickDuel, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Facebook, or your phone number, we receive the identifier associated with that method — an Apple user ID, a Facebook user ID, or your phone number. If Apple or Facebook shares your name or email address as part of sign-in, we store that as well.
- Gameplay data. We record your scores, completion times, daily results, streaks, duel outcomes, and Arena group activity. This is how The Stand-In median is calculated and how leaderboards are maintained.
- Device information. We collect a device token to deliver push notifications. We also collect basic device and operating system information for crash reporting and debugging.
- Usage data. We collect anonymized analytics data about how you interact with the app — which games you play, how long sessions last, and which features you use — using Firebase Analytics.
We do not collect your precise location. We do not collect payment information. We do not display third-party advertising.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the game — tracking scores, calculating The Stand-In, running leaderboards, managing Arena groups, and delivering daily content.
- To send push notifications — challenge alerts, daily nudges, and result notifications, subject to a hard cap of three per day.
- To improve the app — analyzing aggregated usage patterns and diagnosing crashes through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
- To enforce our rules — preventing cheating, such as ensuring results are recorded from the server clock rather than the device.
- To respond to your requests — including account deletion.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Other players. Your display name and scores are visible to players in your Arena groups and to anyone you challenge to a duel.
- Service providers. We use Google Firebase for database, authentication, push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting. These services process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hollywood Hills PM LLC or others.
- Business transfers. If Hollywood Hills PM LLC is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information and gameplay history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information is removed from our systems within 30 days. Scores you posted on other players' Arena boards and completed duels will be retained but displayed under the name "Ghost of Players Past" rather than your name.
5. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account directly from within the QuickDuel app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, sign-in credentials, and personal information. If you signed in with Apple, your Apple ID token will also be revoked on our servers at the time of deletion.
6. Push Notifications
We send up to three push notifications per day per user. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings app. Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to play.
7. Children's Privacy
QuickDuel is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete their information promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
9. Security
We use Firebase security rules to protect your data. Among other protections, a player cannot read an opponent's score before they have played, and no player can modify the benchmark scores used for rankings. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-Party Sign-In
If you sign in with Apple or Facebook, your use of those services is also governed by Apple's and Meta's privacy policies, respectively. We encourage you to review those policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of QuickDuel after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
